SPRINGDALE AND NORTHWEST ARKANSAS COMMUNITY INFORMATION

Springdale, the fourth largest city in Arkansas, is located in both Benton and Washington counties. Located on the Springfield plateau deep in the Ozark Mountains, the town has always been an important industrial city for the region. In Springdale, you can find Arvest Ballpark, Shiloh Museum of Ozark History, War Eagle Trail, and countless other natural and downtown treasures.

Since 1944, Springdale has hosted the Rodeo of the Ozarks. This family-fun event features bull riding, tie-down roping, and other “cowboy” type events. Springdale is also home to the Jones Center, which contains many sport facilities. These facilities include an ice rink, swimming pools, a gymnasium, fitness centers, an outdoor track, and more.

The Tyson Foods Corporation was founded in, and is based in, Springdale, AR. Tyson has created hundreds of jobs and helped shape the community, while also creating one of the top schools in the state, Helen Tyson Middle School.

In Springdale, you can find many natural attractions. Surrounded by over 500 miles of Beaver Lake shoreline, the city is also home to many parks, an aquatic center, a skate park, and the region’s only youth baseball and softball fields with artificial turf. Murphy Park, J.B. Hunt Park, and Bayyari Park are just a few popular ones in the area. The 36-mile Razorback Regional Greenway Trail cuts through the heart of downtown Springdale. Fitzgerald Mountain has 11 miles of trails for mountain bikers to explore, ranging from kid-friendly beginner trails to double-black diamond trails.
